Through studying this course in depth you will:

• develop your ability to read, understand and respond to material from a variety of sources, and to recognise and appreciate themes and attitudes and the ways in which writers achieve their effects. By the end of the course you should be confident with independent & justified analysis.
• develop your ability to construct and convey meaning in written language, matching style to audience, purpose and form.

It is important that you use this page alongside your anthology and study guide, ensuring that you become confident with all the skills needed for your summer examinations. You will of course have many opportunities to develop and assess these.
